1. Could you please tell us something about yourself?
I am 30 years old and I am working at a law office and at the same time I am studying. My goals are to have an education within human behavior and psychology. I was born in Meriwan in Rojhelat(Eastern Kurdistan) and have been living in Stockholm since the age of 5.

2. How could you describe yourself in a few words?
Independent, driven, positive and a strong woman who loves to laugh. That´s how my friends and I would describe me.

3. How does it feel to have famous family?
I´m so used to it that it’s hard to see us as a famous family, to me we are just a family. The feeling of being from a famous family only comes when we are together in public, like the concert in Leiden (SamenSterk concert Leiden 10-09-’09). Otherwise we are just like any other family. We laugh, cry and argue like families do.

4. When did you start with singing and when did you decide to perform for an audience?
The first time I sang I was about 4 years old and my dad has it on tape. I sang " slawi germi ". I´m not sure if it was in front of an audience or just in front of my parents. The first time I performed was at the age of 10. I sang a song that my father had been composing. The name of the song is " ding ding odim bo lêda". And then I had a long break for 20 years until May this year were I performed 2 songs with my father. And most recently my mother’s song " shesh pepule " in Leiden, which was one of the hardest things I´ve ever done. I didn´t think that singing my mother’s song would be so emotionally challenging.

5. What kind of Music do you listen the most to?
Which Kurdish artist has an important impact on your singing career? I listen to all kinds of music. I believe that all musicians should have an open mind and listen to all varieties. The most influential artist/person has been my mother.

6. What is your biggest inspiration in life?
After my mother’s death it all came clear to me. I started to respect life more and value the meaning of each day we have. My father and my brother Kardo are the two people who inspire me in life the most. And of course my friends.

7. What do you want to achieve with your music?
No matter what I do in life I want to make people happy. If I can do that with my music then I feel blessed.
